‘Barry’ is our family name that has been in the rag trade for over 40 years, beginning with clothing boutiques in rural Victoria, to designing clothes for Australians. With a family that loves all things casual, we would borrow from our aunt’s constantly evolving wardrobe, her classic casual staples, simple and ageless, and so difficult to find in the market. Being sisters that share wardrobes, we decided to make casual weekend-wear that is everything our family wears on the weekends, it’s an all-year round style that we love.

Centered around versatility, barry made is determined to adapt and experiment in an ever-changing and exciting market with beautiful new hand-selected fabrics and natural fibres where possible. We wear it, younger wear it and older wear it, making for the ultimate hand-me-downs.
To be working alongside our family’s same talented craftsmen for over 30 years, we are grateful for their years of experience helping our family, and now us with barry made. Each season sets us towards a new mission: to sustainably evolve our barry made and play our role in having a sustainable business.
